Volunteers Can Fundraise Too!
Volunteers are the arms and legs of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Without volunteers, the Society would not be the organization it is today - funding more research, offering more services for people with multiple sclerosis, and providing more professional education programs than any other multiple sclerosis organization in the world. Your helping hands are greatly appreciated and needed to create a successful Walk MS event. We already appreciate your generous donation of time more than you can imagine, but sometimes volunteers want to take additional steps in the movement toward a world free of MS.
While not required, volunteers often want to do more than help at the event or work on a planning committee -- they want to raise money. If that's what you want to do -- we are making it easy for you because once you register as a volunteer, you will be eligible to win the same great prizes available to walkers! If each of the 900 statewide volunteers raises $50, we will be $45,000 closer to our goal of raising $1.2 million!
You can login to your Participant Center with the username and password you created when you registered. Create your own personal web page with photos and your story about your connection to multiple sclerosis and Walk MS. You can also send emails to family and friends asking them to donate or volunteer with you, send thank you notes, track your fundraising progress, and enter gifts received offline.
