It just takes one person to inspire hundreds - that's the idea behind our teams. A team is the best way to be involved with any of the National MS Society's family of special events. Find the leader in you by becoming a team captain today!
A Walk MS Team consists or four or more people who have chosen to walk together to create a world free of MS.
Teams can be made of friends, family, co-workers, neighbors, fellow students, whomever you know!
Some teams have company sponsors who may donate or match funds, print t-shirts or allow teams to recruit in the office. Other teams do all donation requests to those they know. It all depends on you! You can use whatever resources you have to recruit and fundraise.
Make it fun! Choose a fun team name, create inner-team competitions, design fun t-shirts and whatever you do challenge your team to do their best and have confidence that they will do great!
Join your team in the Team Village – check your Walk location to see if a Team Village is available. You can set up before Walk MS and stay after. Bring a tent, table, chairs, whatever you want to have a good time!
Don’t forget, you aren’t asking people to join your team or raise funds just for you, you are asking on behalf of the 8,000 people in the Mid America chapter who have MS and are working along side you to see something done about MS now!
