About My Participant Center

As a registered walker of the 2010 MS Walk, you are automatically assigned your own personal web space, called your Participant Center, which is designed to facilitate every aspect of your fundraising needs. Your Participant Center has a variety of features to help you fundraise for the 2008 MS Walk.

On the navigation to the left of the walk website, you will see a link that says “My Participant Center” at which point you’ll need the username and password created in the online registration process. If you did not register online and would like to create a username and password, please contact the Walk Team at 954-731-4224 or mswalk@fls.nmss.org. If you’ve forgotten your password, you can access the “E-mail Your Password” link at the bottom of the gray box and your password will be e-mailed to you.

After you’ve logged in, you will find six main links across the top of the page:

part_centertoolbar

The first link is for your Participant Center. You can return to the main page from any other page within the Participant Center. This is also where you can revise your fundraising goal and check for updates from the National Multiple Sclerosis Society staff.

The second link is for your Personal Page. Personalize your page by adding a picture, editing text, and altering the color scheme and layout of this page. The look of this page and the narrative you share about why you walk is completely up to you. This is the webpage that your friends and family will see when you ask them to sponsor you online. It is also where you will find your honor roll of donors and your personal fundraising thermometer.

The Address Book link is where you can import contacts from your personal e-mail accounts. You may also manually enter names and e-mail addresses if you prefer.

From the E-mail link you may send custom messages and/or use one of the provided templates. We strongly encourage everyone to personalize their message, only you can really explain why you’re participating. These e-mails automatically include a link to your Personal Page, making it easier for friends and family to sponsor you, or to join you by registering to walk or volunteer.

In the Follow-Up section, you can follow up with the people you’ve contacted so far. This includes sending thank you e-mails for those who have already donated and sending reminders to those who have yet to respond.

Finally, the My Progress section allows you to see just how far you’ve come in your fundraising efforts. There is a gift summary section, where you can compare your online and offline donations, view your fundraising thermometer and the graph outlining when donations were made by month, and access an overall gift history.

Team Captains will have an extra link, My Team. This is where you have the ability to build a unique team webpage. View your team roster and track your team’s progress. As well as the ability to send out “Join My Team” e-mails as well as e-mails to your team members to keep them up to date.
