Alan is one of the founding partners of DNA Seattle. He started his career in marketing in 1983 at Procter & Gamble followed by a position in marketing at Pepsi-Cola. After life on the client-side, he joined and spent nine years as Vice President with Frequency Marketing, a midwest agency specializing in relationship marketing, working with Sheraton Hotels, Buick Motorcar, MasterCard, Scripps Howard Publishing, and American Express Publishing.
In 1993, Alan was recruited to Seattle for the senior management ranks of Herring/Newman, where he began working closely with partner Dan Gross. As General Manager of the agency, he was responsible for managing various aspects of agency operations, as well as leading strategy and account management on various accounts, including Westin Hotels, AT&T Wireless, AFem Medical, American Express and Coinstar. Alan's experience and expertise are in strategic planning, relationship marketing and agency management.
At DNA, Alan leads the management team and has responsibiltiy for client service, media, interactive and agency operations. His strengths are in strategic planning and project management.
