Mike retired from ARCO/BP in 2002 after almost 34 years of service. His career started in Montana as an electrician and was later promoted to a management position before transferring to Kentucky to be part of the startup team of a world class aluminum rolling mill. He moved to Alaska in 1985 when he accepted the position as E&I Superintendent for ARCO operations at Prudhoe Bay on the North Slope of Alaska. He worked on the North Slope for 17 years and held a number of management positions before retiring in 2002. His last assignment was the BP Integration Manager for North Slope Operations as a result of the BP/ARCO merger. Six years as a project manager and Vice President for NANA WorleyParsons, a small engineering company in Alaska. The company’s primary clients are in the oil and gas industry. Mike has an MBA from City University of Seattle and enjoys photography.
