No matter how big or small, your involvement with the MS Activism program can bring us closer to a world free of MS. There are opportunities for you to take action, even if you only have a few minutes.

Volunteers are the key to our advocacy efforts:

  • Members of Government Relations Committees in Alaska, Montana, and Washington help set the legislative priorities in their state
  • MS Activists meet with elected officials to discuss issues related to MS, especially during our annual Day of Activism that brings a grassroots force to the state capital
  • In Washington state, an all-volunteer Activism Committee leads the effort to meet with elected officials and educate MS Activists about important public policy issues
  • For those with less time, our MS Action Alerts allow volunteers to email their elected officials about legislation that improves the lives of people with MS

Are you interested in becoming a citizen lobbyist? To become an MS Activist, tell us about yourself and we'll be in touch. Our MS Activists receive:

  • Tools to understand current issues and pathways to take action
  • Action Alert e-mails when an important issue or bill needs your immediate attention
  • Our monthly Federal Focus e-newsletter – an update on MS activism successes, timely legislation, and emerging issues
