Citizens in Montana are joining forces to create an expanded MS movement to influence the state legislature in Helena. Join the movement and we’ll ensure Montana’s state government works for you!
To set our advocacy priorities in Montana, please email us and you could serve on our all-volunteer Government Relations Committee. The Government Relations Committee decides what’s most important for Montanans living with MS and makes sure our elected officials hear our stories.
You can also join us to lobby your state legislators on our Day of Activism in February.
We will work to improve these issues:
- Health care reform
- Disability rights and accessibility
- Long-term care resources
- Access to quality health care services
- Increased funding for MS research
- Accessible, affordable health insurance
What else can you do? There’s plenty of work to be done…
The Commissioner of Securities and Insurance released a new health insurance guide. "Since the passage of the Affordable Care Act, Montana's health insurance market has changed dramatically. Today, consumers can access no-cost preventative care, appeal denied claims through a more transparent process, and find more affordable coverage for pre-existing conditions."
