Long Term Planning

Caring for your long-term needs

Multiple sclerosis takes a unique course for every person living with the disease. For some, an advanced course can one day mean you’ll need care outside the home or additional care inside the home. Planning for that possibility can be overwhelming and confusing — but it doesn’t have to be. The National MS Society, Greater Northwest Chapter is here to help. We can provide guidance in finding a long-term care facility, in-home care, financial planning and assistance, legal help, emotional support and more.

Even if you don’t know where to begin, one call to the National MS Society’s MS Navigator® can put you on a path you can manage. That’s what the Westphal family did. Son Zach had lived with progressive MS for more than a decade when he and his family made the decision to move Zach to a long-term care facility. Learn more about Zach’s journey and how the National MS Society was able to help.
