group descriptionYoga is an ancient practice designed to bring balance to our system. It can help a person feel better at many levels. Yoga reduces stress, increases energy, improves cognitive function and concentration, and helps muscle spasticity.
Bellingham's yoga class will include strengthening and stretching exercises as well as breathing techniques that help the nervous system. You do not need to be flexible in order to practice yoga. You can participate in the sessions standing, sitting, laying or all of the above. Instructor will provide modifications for individual needs.
Please wear comfortable clothing, bring a yoga mat, blanket or towel, and don't eat a bunch right before class..

group descriptionWe are a varied group of upbeat, positive thinking, men and women with MS, in various stages of 'ability' and in ages from 20 to over 70.
Many members attend meetings along with their spouse, significant other or care partner. All are welcome. The mix of attendees makes for lively discussions as well as participating in special programs. We volunteer at the registration desk for the Walk MS in Snohomish County. We are also a very social group and enjoy our coffee and treats at each meeting, plus our annual potluck in December at which everyone (men and women) bring their favorite dish. group descriptionIf you or someone you know has MS, we are the group for you. Our MS group meets on the 2nd Friday of the month with the exception of July and August. Our group has a family like atmosphere with speakers, informational DVD's and sometimes we just enjoy playing games as well as enjoying each others company. We are not a pity party.
