Seattle Office Internships
- Community Resource Administrative Specialist: Responsible for accurate data entry of community resources for people affected by MS. This resource information helps the National MS Society provide high quality referrals for local services throughout communities in the chapter. Download description
- Continuing Services Coordinator Intern: Provide follow-up contact to clients involved in financial assistance and service management. This contact will help ensure that all needed steps are taken in order for clients to reach their stated service goals. The position is an in-office volunteer position. Download description
- Counseling Intern (pro bono): Depression and emotional issues pose a significant unmet need of the population we serve. Giving access to emotional support to those most in need will help alleviate these issues and improve the quality of life for the term of service. Download description
- Emotional Health Intern: Responsible for working with staff to assist with on-going and one-time programs. Activities may include: researching resources in the community, maintaining counseling referrals in the Chapter database and conducting outreach to mental health providers. Download description
- Legal Intern (pro bono): Responsible for providing free consultations to clients who have been referred by the Chapter. Legal issues may include employment, disability law, long term care planning, and domestic issues. Download description
- Physical Activity Program Intern: Research physical activity resources that provide adaptive and/or therapeutic fitness programming throughout the Greater Northwest Chapter, making initial contact with resources, providing applicable forms, and keeping records of work. Download description
- Teams Program Intern: Responsible for assisting with team cultivation efforts and new team acquisition during the 2012 Walk MS Campaign. This individual will research new team prospect lists and determine appropriate outreach and long-term engagement strategies of key prospects. They will also provide support and incentives to existing teams to maximize their recruitment and fundraising performance and efficiency. Additionally, the Teams Program intern will also provide general support to the Donor Relations Team (Development Dept.). Download description
- Walk MS Retail Marketing Intern: Responsible for implementation of the Haggen/TOP Foods in-store Walk MS fundraising campaign. This campaign centers on point-of-sale fundraising and brought in over $55,000 for Walk MS in 2010. Intern responsibilities will include the following: creating information and marketing publications, managing material distribution, coordinating in-store visits, and planning fundraising mini-events and award parties.
