Volunteer Opportunities

No matter what your skills are or how full your calendar is, you can join the exciting team of National MS Society volunteers. More than 10,000 people volunteer for the MS Society each year working at special events, helping in the office, or interacting directly with people who have MS. With their help, we are committed to creating a world free of multiple sclerosis.

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society is a volunteer driven organization, which means we would never imagine our functions without volunteers. Last year, hundreds of volunteers helped in the office, served on committees, assisted at workshops and events and donated their time and talents. So whether you help once a year, once a week all year long, or a couple of hours a week there are many different jobs where we can utilize your talents and energy. Volunteers are active in the many events and programs that take place throughout the year.

Office Volunteers
Our office is a very busy place, especially during the spring and summer. We are looking for volunteers at all skill levels to help with a variety of administrative work. Some examples of the ongoing work that we have are stuffing envelopes, copying, filling, answering phones, data entry or making phone calls to clients or supporters. Our office hours are 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. If you are interested in becoming an office volunteer, please call the Wisconsin Chapter at 262-369-4400 or email info.wisMS@nmss.org.

Event Volunteers
Volunteers are vital to the success of our special events. Their enthusiastic support, organization, and dedication is used to plan, organize and publicize our events and to assist staff on the day of the event. There are many volunteer opportunities available for each of our events.

Volunteer jobs include, but are not limited to, rest stop assistance, first aid, sag wagons, registration, serving food and much, much more!

To register as a volunteer for one of our events, call us or visit our Fundraising Events page to register as a volunteer.

Chapter Programs
The programs department helps individuals successfully meet the challenges of living with and coping with multiple sclerosis. The department offers educational services, counseling groups, referrals to community resources, advocacy programs and help with employment concerns. If you are interested in volunteering for one of our Chapter Programs, please call us or email at info.wisMS@nmss.org.
