About Fast Forward
The business realities of drug discovery make it difficult to count on development of necessary new therapies for anything but large disease populations. Thousands of diseases compete for investment resources, and investors must weight high costs and financial risks against the potential reward when deciding where to channel their resources. As a result, the most promising discoveries in the lab may never be translated into effective new treatments for people with MS.
Fast Forward is a bold, large-scale initiative to speed the delivery of new treatments to people with MS. We connect people with breakthrough ideas to people who can turn them into new therapies. Funds are targeted to small biotechnology/pharmaceutical companies so that they can overcome the obstacles and reduce some of the financial risk associated with bringing new drugs to market.
