Fast Forward Funding

With leadership funding from EMD Serono, Inc, Fast Forward has released a new Request for Proposal (PDF) focused on the development of novel therapeutic approaches to prevent, treat or reverse central nervous system damage in multiple sclerosis.

RFP Priorities

  • Modulation of innate and/or adaptive immunity to promote CNS neuroprotection and/or repair
  • Molecular strategies for direct CNS neuroprotection
  • Molecular approaches for CNS repair and remyelination
  • Regenerative cell therapies and related platform technologies

Proposals responsive to the RFP should be focused on:

  • Novel therapies with or close to proof of in vivo activity
  • Innovative new molecular mechanisms with a defined plan to reach a value adding milestone within 1-2 years

Funding

  • Up to $250,000 (direct and indirect costs) in funding is available for one year for university-based investigators and seed-stage for-profit commercial organizations applying for the Accelerating Innovation Fund.
  • Up to $500,000 (direct and indirect costs) in funding is available for one year to for-profit commercial organizations applying for the Accelerating Commercial Development Fund.

October 28, 2009 – Deadline for invited full proposals
