The Multiple Sclerosis Comprehensive Treatment Training Program

This two-and-a-half day preceptorship at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas features multidisciplinary clinical lectures focusing on MS-related issues, as well as the opportunity for observing new patient consultations and follow-up evaluations. Qualified registrants must complete self-study modules and take a pre-test in advance of the program. Fourteen sessions are offered during 2006. Each session is limited to 10 participants. Cost associated with the training program including travel, lodging, meals, and course materials are covered, and there is no fee to attend. Participants will earn up to 35 hours in category 1 credit toward the AMA Physician Recognition Award. Neurologists, neurology residents, and qualified allied healthcare professionals (e.g., physician assistants, nurse practitioners, or nurses with advanced clinical training) are encouraged to apply.

The Multiple Sclerosis Comprehensive Treatment Training Course

This comprehensive online CME course is intended for healthcare professionals seeking advanced training in the management of multiple sclerosis. The program consists of 16 modules on different aspects of MS clinical care. For a cost of $100, registrants can earn up to 24 hours in category 1 credit toward the AMA Physician Recognition Award. Registrants have up to one year to claim their CME certificate. Healthcare professionals not seeking CME credit may view the material at no charge.
