MS shouldn’t stand in the way of an education. This is why the National MS Society's scholarship program exists — to help highly qualified students who have been diagnosed with MS or who have a parent with MS achieve their dreams of going to college.
The Society established its scholarship program in 2003 and the program continues to grow both in terms of support and scholarships awarded. In its first year of operation the program awarded 36 scholarships for a total of $68,000; in 2008 a total of $1.14 million was awarded to 518 scholars.
Support for the scholarship program comes from foundations, chapter donors, our own employee giving program and other sources. Click here to learn how you can help us support future scholars.
2009 Scholarships — Scholarship applications for 2009 awards will be available October 1, 2008. Applications may be submitted from October 15, 2008 through January 15, 2009 and scholars receive notice in May, 2009. For detailed guidelines and application information, click here.
2008 Scholarships — The review process for 2008 scholarships is complete. We received 1,000 applications and awarded 518 scholarships totaling $1.14 million.
