Tax credits available now - buy yours from the chapter!
As you may be making plans for year-end tax planning, we wanted you to be aware of some exciting news. The chapter has recently been awarded $4,165 worth of NAP (Neighborhood Assistance Program) tax credits to sell to individuals and corporations. As you may know, buying tax credits is a significant benefit to you. Hopefully, you also know the tremendous impact your gift has on the chapter.
Please consider purchasing tax credits from the chapter. You will receive a tax credit for 50% of a donation that you have made or will make to the chapter by January 9, 2009. For example, for a $100 donation to the chapter, you will receive a $50 tax credit toward your yearly tax liability. Donors need to submit two forms (see below) signed, with their donation, and send them back to the chapter. The chapter will then forward those forms to the Indiana Housing Comm. Development Authority and the Indiana Department of Revenue for processing. The Dept. of Revenue will send the donors the information that they need for their tax return.

The Indiana Housing and Community Development Authority and Community Action Agencies throughout the state have over $106 million dollars available to help low-income and disabled residents pay their heating bills this winter.
