Alyssa Mazur

What will you do?

Name: Alyssa Mazur

Diagnosed: May 2000

Occupation: Master's degree candidate in sociology

Hobbies: I used to play sports. My theory there is, You can take the athlete out of the game, but you can’t take the game out of the athlete. I still love watching sports and cheering on my brother and all my cousins. I also love acting, especially comedic roles.

What movement means to me: I’m pretty chill. I’m pretty, just, laid back.

One thing I’ve learned about living with MS that I want to tell you: Just because I look fine and I can walk and talk and laugh and make jokes and whatever, I still have MS, and there are days that I can’t get out of bed.

What I’ve done to Join the Movement: I’ve joined Youth Against MS and posted a National MS Society public service announcement on my MySpace page.

Favorite board game: Catch Phrase

What I’m doing: I put it out there. I’m always talking about it with my friends. I would love to get up in front of an auditorium of 500 people and explain to them what MS is.
