What movement means to me: Having the ability to pursue anything you want, whenever you want to.
One thing I’ve learned about MS that I want to tell you: When you realize MS is such an individual disease, it’s a little uncomforting because you’re on your own journey, but over time that becomes a plus. It allows you to believe anything can happen. It allows the possibility of hope.
What I’ve done to Join the Movement: I was on the selection committee for the Moving Forward Film Festival, which was awesome because I got to meet all these other people in film and television with MS. I hosted a webcast with Clay Walker, and I was one leg of a half-Ironman team with another guy who has MS.
The obsession that became a philosophy: In college I was a huge fan of Trey Anastasio, the guitarist and lead singer of the band Phish. I wanted to meet him for eight years, and I finally did. It made me believe that if I think about something hard enough, anything can happen. My mantra is: You never know.
What I’m doing: Committing myself to producing a video that makes people aware of MS the way that I’ve become aware of how MS is all around me.
