Save the Date for the On the Move MS Luncheon at the University Center Club in Tallahassee on Thursday, September 13th. 11:30 a.m. Social and 12 p.m. Program. The On the Move MS Luncheon Tallahassee is an annual event that supports the National MS Society, North Florida Chapter's research, programs and services. A delicious catered lunch will be served while Jeannie Unruh will give an educational keynote speech elaborating on issues related to multiple sclerosis. Jeannie Unruh is a past Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Kentucky Chapter of the National MS Society and was awarded the MS Achievement Award in 1993. She continues in the spirit of the Society's founder, Sylvia Lawry, and was recently presented with an award in her name.
Her most recent commitment is hosting her home for the Kentucky Southeast Indiana Chapter's Crystal Boots and Silver Spurs Gala. Over the last two years the event has contributed over $600,000 to the Society and increased awareness of MS.
She is also a past member of the Board of Directors for the Southern Indiana Chamber of Commerce and currently serves on the Guerin Inc. Board of Directors, serving at-risk children, adult learning, care for the elderly, and affordable housing.
Jeannie has guided the financial management of MAC since its incorporation. She is a former member of the Young Presidents Organization and winner of the Presentation Academy;s Tower Award for Women Leaders in recognition of her community and business leadership as a role model for students.
