Beginning this October 1st, the Mid Jersey and Greater North Jersey Chapters of the National MS Society will become one. This merger will result in the New Jersey Metro Chapter being one of the largest organizations within the society serving almost 10,000 members living with MS, their friends and family. Our goals will be to: provide additional program opportunities, improve efficiencies, raise more money and increase our research commitment. We will do this with both offices remaining open, joining boards and working on the strengths of all staff. We welcome this wonderful opportunity to better serve you, our friends, and will continue to provide the outstanding level of service you have grown to expect from us as we move forward in striving to achieve a world free of MS.

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society and Our Mission

Welcome to the Mid Jersey Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society! For over 50 years the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, with its nationwide network of chapters and branches, has worked ardently to find a cure for MS  and to improve the quality of life for people with MS and their families.

The Society is a non-profit organization supported solely by voluntary contributions. It funds more MS research, offers more services for people with MS, and provides more professional education programs  than any other MS organization in the world. Since its founding in 1946, over $500 million has been invested in research to find the cause, treatments, and cure for MS.  The National Multiple Sclerosis Society is the only national voluntary MS organization that meets the standards of all major agencies that rate the fiscal responsibility of non-profit groups. Why You Should Get On and Stay On MS Drug Therapy

Scientific evidence shows that these therapies have the ability to decrease the number of attacks a person with relapsing MS would expect to have over time. As a result, these medications are thought to slow down the development of MS disability. Learn More
