MS Connection User Guide - Photos

Photos can be uploaded to any user, group, or event profile (if permissions allow). To upload a photo, the owner of the photo must first create an album. The owner can choose to enable comments on individual photos, choose the album’s cover from one of the uploaded photos, and upload as many as 15 photos at a time.

Photo albums are also RSS enabled. Members can subscribe to the RSS feed of a particular album and be notified any time a new photo is added to that album. All photos that are uploaded to public users, groups, and events are also published to the community photo gallery in the Photos tab.

Create an album

  1. From your member dashboard, click Photos. Your Photo Albums page appears.

  2. Click Create a New Photo Album.
  3. Enter a title and description.
  4. Click Save.

Note: When you create an album, a new window appears to enable you to browse your computer for photos.

Add photos or edit your photo albums

  1. From your member dashboard, click Photos. Your Photo Albums page appears.
  2. Select the appropriate album.
    • Click Add Photos to upload additional images to the album. After the upload is complete, click Finish.
    • Click Edit Photos to select an album cover, enable image commenting, or delete an image.
    • Click Edit Album to change the title and description.
  3. Save changes.

Note: Supported file types are .gif, .png, and .jpg.

Delete a photo album

  1. From your member dashboard, click Photos. Your Photo Albums page appears.
  2. Select an album.
  3. Click Delete Album. A confirmation message appears.
  4. Click OK.

Community Photo Gallery

MS Connection photo gallery contains all public photos uploaded to MS Connection. This includes photos members have uploaded to their profiles, group photos, and event photos. To go to the photo gallery, click Photos. For each photo, the username of the member who uploaded the photo is displayed.

Click a photo to go to the member, group, or event profile that the photo was uploaded to. If there is more than one photo in that album, you can click Next or Previous to view additional photos from the photo album.
