Listen to the Questions and Answers (23 minutes)
Dr. Sergio Baranzini of the University of California, San Francisco speaks about his new research grant that will use a ‘systems approach’ that looks at how networks of many factors interact. This type of research has only recently become possible. It uses a combination of techniques and technologies to explore how MS develops.
Dr. Adrian Ivinson of the Harvard NeuroDiscovery Center and the International MS Genetics Consortium speaks about his newly-recommended research grant. With this award, Dr. Ivinson and a team including some of the world’s top MS geneticists will confirm and validate findings from a comprehensive genome-wide exploration of susceptibility genes in MS.
