Dr. David Hafler, Professor of Neurology at Harvard, is a highly regarded MS clinician and immunologist who has also turned his attention to the genetic basis of MS susceptibility. Dr. Hafler headed a Collaborative MS Research Center at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, which led to the formation of the International MS Genetics Consortium.
Dr. Jim Salzer is a highly respected Professor of Cell Biology and Neurology at New York University. He leads a Collaborative MS Research Center that brings together a multi-disciplinary team focusing on interactions between nerve and myelin-making cells and ways to repair the central nervous system.
Dr. Patricia O'Looney is Vice President of Biomedical Research at the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, Dr. O'Looney directs and oversees the administration of the Society’s biomedical research funding programs. Dr. O'Looney holds a bachelor's degree in Molecular Biology from Regis College, Weston, MA, and is a graduate of The George Washington University Medical School in Washington, D.C.
