Keynote Speaker
Joshua Katz, MD
Joshua Katz, MD is the Co-Director of the Elliot Lewis Center for MS Care in Wellesley, MA a multidisciplinary comprehensive care center for patients with multiple sclerosis. Dr. Katz and specializes in the treatment of multiple sclerosis, neuromyelitis optica, transverse myelitis, and other demyelinating diseases. He is an Associate Professor of Neurology at Tufts University School of Medicine and member of the Healthcare Provider Council of the Greater New England Chapter of the National MS Society. Dr. Katz received his MD from Tufts University school of Medicine in 1992 and did seven years of specialty training before beginning his practice. He has been board-certified neurologist since 1999 and has been an investigator in numerous clinical trials for some many of the current available treatments, as well as a number of new and innovative therapies for multiple sclerosis.

Intended Audience
The Regional MS Summit is designed for neurologists, physiatrists, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants who specifically focus on treatment of multiple sclerosis. Other disciplines are also welcome to attend. To uphold the integrity of the conference, this event is free of commercial bias and industry employees are prohibited from attending.
Course Description
The education course has been designed with the goal to increase knowledge in health care providers regarding both basic underlying concepts as well as symptom management for MS, with the ultimate goal to optimize patient management and outcome. Case presentations will allow discussion of treatment plans.
Continuing Education Credits
In support of improving patient care, this activity has been planned and implemented by the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers (CMSC) and the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. CMSC is jointly accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME), the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE), and the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), to provide continuing education for the healthcare team.
