Preventing Falls on the First Day of Fall — And Every Day

The 10th annual Falls Prevention Awareness Day is September 22, 2017: the first day of fall. This event — coordinated by the
National Council on Aging — raises awareness about how to prevent fall-related injuries.
Studies from several countries report that 50-70% of people with MS report falls within the past 2-6 months. About 30% of those individuals report falling multiple times, with injuries resulting from those falls.
