Society Announces Its Largest Walk MS Sponsorship from Novartis Pharmaceuticals

March 26, 2014

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society today announced Novartis Pharmaceuticals has committed to a national sponsorship of Walk MS for a third consecutive year. “We are extremely grateful for Novartis’ continued support of Walk MS and the National MS Society. This partnership provides critical support which not only helps us to address the challenges of everyone affected by MS, but also facilitates important connections between Walk MS participants who are passionate about raising funds to end MS forever,” said Graham McReynolds, National MS Society Chief Marketing and Development Officer.

The Society’s national partnership with Novartis will feature an educational travelling exhibit, where Walk MS participants can celebrate their efforts to create a world free of MS while enjoying complimentary food and beverages, receive information about MS, and learn about Novartis’ commitment to the MS movement.

About Multiple Sclerosis

Multiple sclerosis is an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system that disrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body. Symptoms range from numbness and tingling to blindness and paralysis. The progress, severity and specific symptoms of MS in any one person cannot yet be predicted, but advances in research and treatment are leading to better understanding and moving us closer to a world free of MS. Most people with MS are diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 50, with at least two to three times more women than men being diagnosed with the disease. MS affects more than 2.3 million people worldwide.
