The National MS Society recently opened new funding opportunities to the MS research community. These opportunities support research relevant to the
Pathways to MS Cures Roadmap, an initiative that will drive progress by increasing alignment and focus of global resources on high priority research questions to cure MS for every person affected by the disease.
The new funding opportunities also support the MS research and care workforce, including new opportunities for research and clinical fellowships/mentorships and early career awards.

JULY DEADLINES (NEW): Research Grants and Rehabilitation Fellowships
The Society is pleased to offer funding for investigator-initiated proposals to support research relevant to the
Pathways to MS Cures Roadmap.
A 5-year award to support mentors and institutions that train postdoctoral fellows in MS research related to rehabilitation.
AUGUST DEADLINES:
Research Fellowships/Early Career Awards:
Research projects from 1-3 years by investigators working under the mentorship of senior scientists
Support for up to 3 years to train young doctors to conduct MS clinical trials
Up to 3 years of support for to develop expertise in MS clinical trials, real-world evidence, epidemiology, data mining, and/or other related bioinformatics research
5-year projects by promising young investigators just starting their careers as independent researchers
Supports 3 years of research training in an environment where talented young clinicians address problems in MS with the most current scientific tools.
AUGUST DEADLINES:
Training for Physicians:
One-year, post-residency MS clinical fellowship program designed to train neurologists or physiatrists in specialized MS clinical care.
Mentor-based fellowship program designed to train pediatric and adult neurologists or physiatrists in specialized MS clinical care.
