John Koster, Regional President, Caesar’s Entertainment Reno/Lake Tahoe/Laughlin, will receive the MS Hope Award, the highest honor bestowed on individuals by the National Multiple Sclerosis Society
Honorees are outstanding examples of Champions in Nevada. They have demonstrated passion and dedication to our community. We are excited for the opportunity to have a dinner, both to show our appreciation to these honorees accomplishments and to continue to raise awareness and address the challenges of living with MS.

John Koster has a career spanning decades in the Hospitality industry which covers much of the globe. From his roots at the acclaimed Florida International University School of Hospitality & Tourism Management in Miami, Florida; John’s career took off after joining ITT Sheraton. John worked in resorts in Hawaii, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Australia, and Thailand where he opened an ITT Sheraton Luxury Collection property, The Sheraton Grande Laguna Beach in Phuket. He began his Casino industry tenure after taking on the role of VP & GM and then President of the historic Desert Inn Resort in Las Vegas, NV. His next move to then Harrah’s Entertainment would be the beginning of a long and successful history with now Caesars Entertainment. He moved to Harrah’s Las Vegas as the VP Hotel under Tom Jenkin followed by Harrah’s Laughlin as AGM and then GM. John was then promoted to Regional President covering all operations in Lake Tahoe, Reno, Laughlin, and global teleservices in a roll he currently maintains.
John is a proud resident of Northern Nevada where he and his beautiful wife raise their two daughters. He sits on multiple boards and his time away from the office is spent enjoying family time in the outdoors, traveling, and sportsman activities with his friends and family.
Dawn Gibbons is the former First Lady of Nevada, and the only one to have been a state legislator. She has championed fundraising and public awareness for many important causes and was the 2016 Las Vegas Dinner of Champions Honoree. Since receiving her Hope Award, Dawn has been a true champion for The National Multiple Sclerosis Society by lending her knowledge, expertise, and connections towards producing outstanding Dinner of Champions events in both Reno and Las Vegas. We are honored to have her as our Dinner Chair for the Reno MS Dinner of Champions.
