Engage with local companies who donate to non-profits if their employees engage in volunteer service with the non-profit. The winning candidate will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic group of people, learn how to recruit and manage large numbers of volunteers and assist with the execution of large events.

Job Responsibilities

  • Search out giving corporations in chapter area
  • Engage corporations on the possibility for them to provide a team building experience to their employees
  • Send letters and volunteer brochure
  • Work with the Director to create new volunteer opportunities for highly skilled individuals and identify volunteer leaders for chapter wide positions
  • Manage volunteers at the events
  • Manage the volunteer email account assisting volunteers with questions and information
  • The position could also include recruiting new sponsors or product donations for the events.


  • Excel, Word, email, good phone etiquette, enthusiastic, and be able to speak and work well with many different personalities


  • Candidate will be trained on fundraising database via online classes offered by the Society and will work with chapter staff to get candidate up to speed on all data related needs.

Physical Requirements

  • Be able to reach and lift at least 35 pounds

Length of Commitment

  • One or two days a week in a four-hour block
  • Must be available on event weekends
