Take Action

Share

Every action counts—even if you only have a few minutes today. Get started:

advocate and speak for those in our state living with multiple sclerosis. The Georgia Legislature has many important issues before them this legislative session, and with very little time to address them, it is imperative that our voices are heard. This year, MS advocates will be discussing policy changes that will address health care access and coverage to make living with MS more affordable.

This year’s legislative agenda will include:

House Bill 644: A bill that would require insurers to notify beneficiaries 90 days prior to moving a drug to a higher tier, removing a drug from a formulary, adding a prior-authorization requirement, imposing quantity limitations, or increases in step-therapies. It also requires insurers to be responsive to enrollee’s drug formulary inquiries within three days.

Medicaid Expansion: We will advocate for the Georgia General Assembly and the Governor to expand Medicaid in Georgia to provide access to health care coverage to those 650,000 of our most low-income Georgians who would be eligible under the Affordable Care Act.

Tell Your Story: Take this opportunity to advocate on behalf of those you know living with MS, whether it’s you or someone you care about. This is your chance to tell your elected officials ways they can improve the livings of those living with MS in our state.
