The Mid America Chapter works to improve the quality of life for people affected by MS in Kansas, Western Missouri, Nebraska and Pottawattamie County and raise funds for critical MS research. Join the movement toward a world free of MS.

    General Office Volunteer

    General office volunteers provide support by facilitating mailings in order to ensure the timely distribution of Society information to constituents, event participants and volunteers. Other projects include data entry, filing, inventory control, etc.

    Time commitment is during the hours of 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.

    The Mid America Chapter office of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society is looking for a committed volunteer for Front Desk duties. This position would be available on weekdays, from either 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. or a half day (flexible) to assist the front desk with incoming calls and administrative duties. This is a great opportunity for a “People Person” looking to donate a few hours each week or to get more experience in an office environment.

  3. Marketing & Communications

    Bike MS Promo Team

    The Promo Team is the front line of Bike MS marketing! Help us create a buzz to increase community awareness, rider participation and volunteers for Bike MS. Promo Team members will distribute Bike MS marketing materials throughout their area and attend community events to help us promote Bike MS.

    Training provided by the Society.  Time commitment is approximately five to 10 hours a month from March to September.

    District Activist Leader

    Have you met with your elected official and shared how MS affects you? Are you interested in growing this relationship to keep people with MS are front of mind as he or she considers legislation? Lead the way in your community by becoming a volunteer District Activist Leader.

    As a District Activist Leader, you will build and foster critical relationships with the elected officials in your legislative district. You will serve as a liaison between these officials and the Society, helping to develop a reliable grassroots movement across the state and the country.

    Data Entry Specialist

    If you're skilled in Excel and other administrative tasks, we'd love your help!

    The National Multiple Sclerosis Society is looking for volunteers who love data entry and like to see their fruits of their labor at the end of the day. Join others in making a difference by volunteering your time and talents to help stop MS in our lifetime.

    Thi is a great opportunity for someone looking to get more experience in an office environment.
