  • Research and develop media, press releases, PSA’s, interviews, and post on social media for programs, events, and World MS Day.
  • Develop and implement outreach plan for advocacy at Walk MS.
  • Develop and create a Walk MS newsletter.
  • Coordinate volunteers for events.
  • Communicate with and reengage past volunteers.
  • Secure in-kind donations for events.
  • Research human services agencies throughout chapter service area.
  • Assist in the area of outreach to rural communities and underserved populations.
  • Research, compile, and obtain comprehensive information on community resources.
  • Identify outdated service provider listings that need to be deleted from the database and record updated resource data accurately.
  • Attend fairs to bring awareness to MS, National MS Society, and increase volunteer participation.  Outreach to colleges, high schools, churches, and civic organizations about volunteer opportunities.
  • Other duties based on intern interest and agency priorities.
