On Thursday, June 19, 2014, the New York City – Southern New York Chapter of the National MS Society will host the 32nd Annual Race Against MS at Belmont Park Race Track and honor real estate industry leader Jason Pizer, President of Trinity Real Estate, the real estate arm of New York City’s landmark Trinity Church.

Supported by more than 600 real estate, construction and property management executives from companies including Tishman Speyer, Structure Tone, Inc. and Cushman & Wakefield, the event raises funds to assist people living with multiple sclerosis and support cutting edge research to find a cure for the disease.

The festive afternoon will be filled with thoroughbred racing, cocktails, lunch, a live and silent auction and an amazing program hosted by NBC sports anchor Bruce Beck.

About Multiple Sclerosis

Multiple sclerosis is an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system that disrupts the flow of information within the brain, and between the brain and body. Symptoms range from numbness and tingling to blindness and paralysis. The progress, severity and specific symptoms of MS in any one person cannot yet be predicted, but advances in research and treatment are leading to better understanding and moving us closer to a world free of MS. Most people with MS are diagnosed between the ages of 20 and 50, with at least two to three times more women than men being diagnosed with the disease. MS affects more than 2.3 million people worldwide.
