The GRAC is the governing advisory body of the chapter that determines the direction we take with advocacy, legislation and government affairs. It’s a great way to build new relationships with elected officials and our fellow peers.

What does the GRAC member do?
  • Engage in strategic conversation to help determine activism priorities and goals, reviewing progress throughout legislative session and evaluating outcomes of strategies and tactics
  • Help identify and execute strategies that will advance the policy priority issues, including the Unified State Policy Agenda
  • Participate in MS State Action Day when possible
  • Aid in the recruitment of GRC members as needed
  • Stays informed about state legislative proposals affecting those living with MS
  • Helps advance federal policy priorities by ensuring that committee members respond to action alerts
  • Ensures that the GRAC and Health Care Advisory Committees are successfully communicating and collaborating on policy issues
  • Represents the Society among stakeholders and decision makers. Establishes and strengthens relationships with MS Activists and public policy decision makers to best represent the interests of those affected by multiple sclerosis.
