What a Difference a Day Makes

In Person

Need help around the house? What a Difference A Day Makes may be your answer! This is a program designed to help assist individuals living with MS meet certain needs or projects inside or outside their home.

What a Difference a Day Makes allows teams of volunteers from within the community, local businesses, civic organizations, and family and friends that can make a change in the lives of people with multiple sclerosis by completing projects for them around the house.

Volunteers, together with a team leader, will be assigned a specific project to complete the wish list of someone living with MS.

Disclaimer for 2017 ~ this year's projects will be in only the following counties:
Adams, Centre, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Fulton, Huntington, Juniata, Lancaster, Lebanon,
Mifflin, Northumberland, Perry, Snyder, Union and York.

Are you in need of assistance?

If you are living with MS and need a helping hand, the PA Keystone Chapter of the National MS Society wants to help! Volunteers from our chapter will divide into teams and complete one day projects in your home or outside. Projects can include:

  • Spring/Fall cleaning
  • Wash windows on a one story home
  • Outdoor painting (garage, porch, ramp, posts)
  • Power wash deck, patio, exterior of one story home
  • Cleaning outdoor furniture
  • Cleaning gutters (one-story homes only)
  • Yard work: including raking, weeding, pruning, clipping flowers/bushes, mowing lawns

Other services may be provided according to client needs and volunteer skills. Applying for a project does not guarantee that your project will be completed as it depends upon volunteer availability in your area. Applications and back ground checks are required for clients and volunteers.

Please note: we are only accepting NEW inquiries. If you have had a project completed in the past, we ask that you do not apply so others may experience What a Difference a Day Makes! Deadline to inquire about a project is April 15, 2016. Projects will be completed between May through October depending upon volunteer availability and project tasks.
