Haley Sellers

Willis, TX

Haley’s love of art is twofold; she enjoys the creativity and appreciates experiencing the world through her senses. This deep appreciation stems from her experience with multiple sclerosis through her mother. Nearly five years ago, her mother lost her vision at the onset of being diagnosed with MS. As her mother’s symptoms persisted, her father’s work schedule became more demanding. The challenges her mother experienced combined with her father’s work resulting in increased responsibilities such as cooking, laundry, cleaning and homework, Haley became very skilled at wearing many different hats. Her ability to handle a multitude of demands while still wearing a smile will serve her well in pursuing a successful career as an entrepreneur. Haley plans to attend college where she’ll major in graphic design. Her post-graduate plans include working as a graphic artist for an advertising agency and later venturing into her own practice. This scholarship will help bring her entrepreneurial- inspired vision to light by affording her the opportunity to take the first step of her career by attending college.
