Haggen Food & Pharmacy

HaggenIn November, local grocer Haggen Food & Pharmacy will be inducted into the National MS Society’s Volunteer Hall of Fame in the ‘Funding the Mission’ category. Haggen earned this distinction as a result of their long history of community involvement and philanthropy that has helped those affected by MS. In 2006, Haggen began devoting their time and talent to the National MS Society through stepping up as the Presenting sponsor of Walk MS. At this time Haggen also began selling orange feet and other Walk MS swag at their cash registers as an in-store fundraising campaign to benefit Walk MS. These efforts have generated an impressive $700,000 since 2006.

The partnership between the Greater Northwest Chapter and Haggen has not only raised a significant amount of money, but it has also left a lasting impact on communities across the state. Haggen has helped spread awareness and visibility in 38 retail stores throughout Washington and exposed countless people to the mission of the National MS Society. This spirit of community support is contagious among Haggen leadership, employees, and patrons alike. With partners like Haggen we are moving closer to a world free of MS!
