Area of Study: Double Majoring in History and Sociology

Receiving the scholarship had meant a great deal to me. Not just financially, my family and I already bear a brunt of costs with my medical care and medicines, but the social benefit as well. It warms my heart to know people out there care to assist people with their desire for higher education.

I picked these areas of study because I have always been passionate about history. I've had that hunger to know why things are the way they are today and how that came to pass. I'm partial to U.S. History but I love stretching out my fingertips to absorb as much history from around the world as I can. Sociology also intrigued me because of my lifelong fascination in people and the way they interact. I tried anthropology and was tempted by psychology but sociology and the study of social inequalities held my attention most.

What excites me most about school, what always has, is the attainment of knowledge. As I go into my third year of college I am anxious with anticipation to leap into more difficult classes. I can't wait to learn more!

One awesome thing you should know about me is...well, there are so many awesome things to choose from. But I'll go with the fact that I am a huge Star Wars fan! I love the movies, shows, books, and video games. Have Star Wars questions, I'm your girl.
