Course 1— (1.5 contact hours):  Advocating Automotive Mobility for your Clients:  Driver Rehabilitation and Automotive Mobility Solutions (AAM Online)
Course 2— (3.0 contact hours): Comprehensive Automotive Solutions Course for Health Professionals (CAMS Online)
Each course is FREE and may be completed online in either 1.5 or 3.0 hours.
The National Mobility Equipment Dealers Association (NMEDA) is offering two FREE introductory level online CE courses to help healthcare professionals understand automotive mobility options and solutions for patients with disabilities.  By learning about automotive vehicle modifications, health professionals will be able to suggest options for caregivers or patients who want to drive but need accommodations. Topics covered in Course 1 include learning about the importance of Mobility and Related Services, Driving as an Instrumental IADL, Diagnosis, Assessment, and 5 Real-life Case Studies.  Topics covered in Course 2 include an introduction to automotive vehicle modifications, NMEDA’s Quality Assurance Program (QAP), evaluating patient conditions and matching them with an appropriate automotive mobility solution.
 
Health professionals who take both the AAM and CAMS Online course will be able to suggest options and make appropriate referrals for caregivers or patients who want to drive but need accommodations.
