State Action Day

IMPORTANT UPDATE

We are closely watching the coronavirus (COVID-19) situation and taking action as we all move through this uncharted territory. The most recent guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) about in-person gatherings has a significant impact on all we had planned for the next couple months—from fundraising events to programs to advocacy activities. But this will not stop us from being here for people with MS and fueling breakthroughs. We are finding new and creative ways to make sure everyone involved in the MS movement has a way to connect, to feel supported and informed and to raise funds and awareness—no matter where you are. Stay tuned for information about exciting virtual opportunities.

We encourage you to visit our Coronavirus Resources page for the latest information and updates about COVID-19 including:

  • Special considerations for people living with multiple sclerosis
  • What to do if you have symptoms
  • Tips to protect yourself and those around you

We appreciate your understanding. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to an MS Navigator if you have any questions or concerns.

Around the country, MS activists convene to raise awareness and urge state lawmakers to make policy decisions that will help people with MS live their best lives. At these MS State Action Days, activists learn about the National MS Society’s advocacy priorities and couple these priorities with their own stories as they advocate with State Senators, Representatives, Assembly members and other policy makers on behalf of themselves and all people affected by MS.

Become a part of the MS movement as an MS activist. There are no specific experience, age, political knowledge or other requirements; we'll provide all the background information and support. You are the leading expert on you or your loved one's MS. Join an MS State Action Day (below), become a digital MS activist and support MS priorities on social media.
