Resilience is the ability to overcome, especially when faced with adversity such as MS, and it is influenced by many factors. A few of which include: current health status and how it affects your physical and emotional energy, attitude of gratitude, nutrition and spiritual practices like meditation. It is important to someone living with MS because every day one has no idea how, or if our bodies will betray us. The unknown is a way of life. When you have resilience and inner strength, you know you’ve “got this”, no matter the situation. Resilience is the measurement of whether you bend or break. This can be learned, so if you are not very resilient, you can change and this trait can be cultivated.
