Description

This research study proposes to investigate a strengthening program along with blood flow restriction to improve strength and mobility in people with multiple sclerosis who have walking limitations. The study will include 20 people with MS who need at least a cane to walk 100 meters or use a wheelchair but can stand and transfer on their own. Participants must be willing to participate in strength training exercises using blood flow restriction performed in-person 2x/ week  under supervision of physical therapist for 8 weeks and participate in strength and mobility assessments before and after the exercise program.
