Description

METS for MS involves the remote delivery of a 4-month exercise training program with a 4-month follow-up period for persons with multiple sclerosis who have depression. The training programs involve either a combination of walking and resistance training or stretching. The exercises or stretches are done 3 times per week and the goal is to reach 30 minutes per session. 3 site visits would be required over the course of 8 months. Site visit testing would include mental health screeners, muscle strength testing, aerobic testing, walking speed testing, and cognition testing. Coaching and all equipment (pedometer and resistance bands or yoga mat) needed for exercises will be provided by the study. Participants would be compensated for each site visit completed.
