Pregabalin is an anticonvulsant that reduces the pain signals sent by damaged nerves. It is used off-label in multiple sclerosis to control neuropathic pain (dysesthesias).

FDA Indication: Neuropathic pain associated with diabetic peripheral neuropathy or spinal cord injury, postherpetic neuralgia, treatmentent of partial seizures and fibromyalgia
